Widgets on a minimalist home screen

Yin Yang Launcher keeps your home screen minimal and puts your widgets one swipe away. Swipe right from the home screen to open My Space, a page for notes, to-dos, weather, music, steps and any Android widget you already use, like Google Calendar or Spotify.
A calm home screen, and your widgets too
A minimalist home screen works because there's less on it. Widgets are useful, but a home screen full of them isn't calm anymore.
My Space keeps them separate. Your home screen stays a clock and a few apps. Everything you check during the day is one swipe to the right, on a page that looks like it belongs to the launcher. Built-in tiles and widgets from your other apps each have their own tab, Built-in and From Apps, and both scroll.
What you can add
Built-in tiles
- Notes and To-dos: add one with a tap and start typing.
- Weather: each tile can follow your location or a city you pick, so you can see two places at once.
- Calendar: your upcoming events.
- App folders: a group of apps in one tile.
- Quote: a line to start the day.
- Hydration: tap the circle to log a glass of water, hold to undo. A monthly calendar shows how each day went.
- Steps: today's steps against your goal, counted on your phone.
- Music: see and control whatever's playing, from any music or podcast app.
- Screen Time: today's phone use and your top apps, the same numbers as the screen time tracker in Mind Space.
Before adding a built-in tile you can open a live preview of it.
Any Android widget
Add widgets from the apps you already have: Google Calendar, Spotify, Google Keep, Samsung Notes and more.
- They fit in. Each widget sits in the same clean card as the built-in tiles, with its app's name on top. Your widgets sit together on the From Apps tab.
- Grayscale or colour. Widgets from other apps are shown in grayscale by default, so Spotify, Calendar and the rest match your launcher instead of each bringing its own colours. Switch any one to colour if you need it.
- Pick a height: Compact, Small, Medium or Tall, or set a custom height with a slider.
- Scrolling works inside them. A widget with its own list, like an inbox or an agenda, scrolls inside its card.
Set up My Space
- Install Yin Yang Launcher from Google Play and set it as your home screen. Yin Yang is a home-screen app (a launcher), so My Space comes with it. You can switch back anytime.
- Swipe right from the home screen to open My Space.
- Tap Add Tile.
- On the Built-in tab, tap a tile to preview it, then add it.
- For a widget from another app, swipe to the From Apps tab and pick one.
- Choose its height, and under Color scheme keep Monochrome (grayscale) or pick Color. Changes save as you tap.
- To reorder, open Manage Tiles and drag and drop, so the ones you check most sit at the top.
To change a widget later, open Manage Widgets and tap its settings icon.
Tips
- Put what you check most at the top. My Space scrolls, but the first screen is what you'll see most.
- Keep widgets grayscale for a cohesive look. Use colour only where it carries meaning, like calendar event colours.
- Use Compact for glanceable widgets (weather, next event) and Tall for lists.
- Two cities? Add two Weather tiles with different locations.
- The Music tile respects your limits. Tapping the app name opens it the same way as from your home screen, so a pause before opening or an app timer still applies.
